First up is a pattern I tested from Lily Bird Studio on Etsy, It is called Kate's Dress. I simply love this on Lily. It came out beautifully on her, looks old and vintage. I used a brown linen blend and paired it with a remnant. I had been eyeing this fabric for a while and when I saw the remnant a few weeks ago I had to have it. I used lace around the bib.
Isn't she beautiful!!
For my next tackle I sewed this for an out of the box challenge. The idea was to use fabrics that weren't a quilting cotton. I used a simply silky print and did a lace overlay on the skirt. She liked it so much she wore it to school the next day.
I am in so much trouble with this one..
Not sewing related, took a break from the machines for a morning and Jack and I went to the library, we get a few books each week and he loves to go. Unfortunately, story time is on break for a few weeks. But that doesn't stop us.
We were even featured in our towns news paper.
Lily had a field trip to the zoo with her class to studio animals habitat and was bringing her water bottle. What child wants to carry that? Surely non I know. I used a free tutorial to make this. I did change it a little bit, I made it taller, used a hidden layer of PUL, shortened the strap and added a pocket. She was very pleased, now her siblings want one.
I mixed up two patterns to make what I call a Delacey. It is CKC's Lacey and SIG's Delaney.
She loves it, granted she loves all dresses but that's ok. She is getting so big and beautiful.
I did get more sewing done but that is all I have pictures to share of. I finished Avry's Kindergarten celebration dress, just need to make a bow for her as per her request even if I was going to make one anyway lol.
That's all for now, I hope you enjoyed my sewing. Please leave a comment if you will, I would love to hear what you think. Have a great day. I am going to enjoy mine with my precious little angels.
Have a great one ,
Kristen
